The Unintentional Discovery

It was running my game too.Until.

Last year, I hit a rough patch with my own game. My forehand was wildly inconsistent.

I struggled for months to find a solution. Nothing stuck.

Then one day, while being a little careless in between coaching sessions, I fumbled my phone and dropped it face-down onto the court.

F**k.

I looked down at the phone that had just been snatched by gravity. For a moment, I stood there motionless, replaying the drop in my mind.

And then I had a thought. A thought so brutally obvious, so completely in plain sight the entire time, that I actually laughed out loud.

Then I stopped laughing.

Physics doesn't care about me.

Gravity didn't care what I wanted. It didn't care that I meant to keep texting. It didn't need effort, belief, timing, confidence, or permission to affect me. It just did.

And it's not just the phone in my hands. Every tennis swing I'd ever taken, every training session I'd ever been part of, as a player or a coach, was being influenced by this same unrelenting system.

The laws of Physics act everywhere, at all times, on all things, with no off switch.

Chasing The Question

Why had no one EVER explained this to me?

This question sent me deep into the research on the forces — physical, psychological, and neurological — that govern the game of tennis.

What I found made years of coaching feel like I’d been working in the dark.

The Framework

The Laws Of Cooperation.

None of the research was simple.

Passing it on had to be.

So I distilled months of research into five foundational laws that you can understand and feel in your body.

Law 03 is my favorite.

The Decision Point

Now you know the laws.Choose your path.

One of these is the path you're on. The other is a path you can step onto.

Inside A Session

What to expect.

Once you stop interfering with the system, something shifts in your body that never fully shifts back. By the end of session one, you'll taste it. After that, our work is simple: get you back there as often as we can.

01

We Find The Break Point

Where is force being lost? Which law are you working against?

The framework locates it fast.

02

We Make One Change With High Leverage

Most players think they're struggling with three problems that are really just one.

We find the root adjustment that changes everything downstream.

03

You Feel It Before You Leave

You won't just leave with a mental concept to carry home.

You feel cooperation in your body, that session, under live ball conditions.

The physics worked for them too.

Three players. Three different levels. Same result.

New Intention
Nick's physics-based approach to my forehand has really helped me improve. He had me focus more on how my body was actually working rather than just my effort, which has really helped improve my power and consistency. I would highly recommend him to anyone trying to get more out of their strokes.

New Outcome
Nick really helps with breaking tennis down into understandable concepts. From working just on the physics of body rotation in movement, I hit a couple of forehand winners during a scrimmage. I don't think I've ever hit a forehand winner before!

I’ve been on a tennis court for most of my life.

By any reasonable measure, I know this game.

And right now I’m working on not rushing my swing when the match gets tight.

You might have assumed I’ve already figured that out. It sounds simple, doesn’t it? That’s the part nobody tells you. Understanding something and owning it in your being are two different things. The gap between understanding and owning is where the real work lives.

I’ve been in that gap my entire tennis journey. I’m still in it today. World-class players are in it today. Every player I’ve coached has been in it too. We’re all in it together, each at our own level, with our own version of the same fight.

That’s what The Players Lab is built on. Not the view from the top of the mountain. The view from where you are on the path, with enough perspective to see where you’ve been and enough honesty to admit we’ve still got more to climb.

The only way through that gap is to experiment. To try things, fail at things, and stay curious about what the failure is telling you. That’s not a coaching philosophy. It’s the only thing that has ever actually worked.

Experiment Fearlessly.

Court Fees & Booking

Rates listed above reflect coaching fees. Outdoor court reservation fees, when required, are handled separately. For private lessons, court costs may be shared between coach and player. For small groups, classes, and USTA teams, court costs are either built into the program price or split evenly among participants. All court-related costs are communicated clearly before booking. My goal is to keep everything simple, transparent, and fair.
